In a night full of emotions, the Memphis Grizzlies pulled off an impressive comeback in the last quarter to defeat the Minnesota Timberwolves 108-106. Jaren Jackson Jr. was the key player in the victory, scoring 24 points, 15 of which came in the last 12 minutes of the game.
The victory was all the more remarkable because Memphis was down by five points at the start of the fourth quarter. However, the Grizzlies not only managed to turn the score around, but did so with solid defense and well-executed offensive play.
One Last Bright Quarter Of Jackson And Bane
The third quarter saw a constant battle between the two teams, but it was in the final 12 minutes where the Grizzlies really stood out. Jaren Jackson Jr. showed his class, scoring 15 of his 24 points during this period.
His presence on the court was key both on offense and defense. He not only made the basket, but also showed his ability to protect the rim, with 10 rebounds and a couple of blocks.
Desmond Bane, for his part, contributed 22 points, also being a determining factor in the comeback by contributing key points late in the game.
The combined effort of these two players allowed Memphis to overcome the Timberwolves, who had managed to stay ahead for much of the game. The home team was solid, especially in the third quarter, but could not contain the Grizzlies' offense in the closing moments.
The Timberwolves had started the final quarter with a five-point lead, but it quickly vanished thanks to the drive of Jackson and Bane.
Timberwolves Fought To The End
Despite the loss, the Timberwolves had an outstanding performance, especially from Anthony Edwards, who scored 32 points and was the game's leading scorer. Edwards was unstoppable in the first half, but his team could not maintain the level of play in the last quarter.
Naz Reid also contributed significantly with 29 points, including 15 in the final quarter, but his effort was not enough to slow down the Memphis offense.
In the end, Edwards had a chance to win the game, but his three-point attempt was blocked by Jackson and Bane, leaving the score 108-106 in favor of the Grizzlies. This was an opportunity that Minnesota was unable to capitalize on, leaving fans with the bitter taste of what could have been a key victory for the team.

Victory Boosts the Grizzlies
With this victory, the Grizzlies add their third consecutive win and are positioned in third place in the Western Conference with a balance of 28-15. This kind of victories not only gives them confidence, but also allows them to stay close to the leaders, such as the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Jaren Jackson Jr. and Desmond Bane have proven to be a lethal duo, and with Ja Morant scoring 19 points, Memphis seems to be finding its rhythm this season.
In contrast, the Timberwolves remain in the middle of the table with a 22-21 record. Although their performance was not enough to secure the victory, players like Edwards and Reid proved that Minnesota has the talent to compete. However, a lack of consistent offense and failure to keep pace in the fourth quarter were factors that cost them the game.
With this victory, Memphis continues to consolidate its place among the strongest teams in the West. The Grizzlies have a promising schedule, with opportunities to continue to add wins and move even closer to the top spots.
Meanwhile, the Timberwolves will have to reflect on their performance and look for ways to improve their consistency in key moments of games. Both teams have a lot to prove in the near future.
